It’s an absolutely magical instrument. Don’t let the fact that you don’t know how to play it stop you from buying it! I had zero experience playing tongue drum but I heard it many times, and I always wanted to try it. And even though I don’t play anything sophisticated on it, the sounds that come out are so calming and meditative! It’s a great musical instrument for people of all ages.

Purchased this steel tounge drum for my husband for our anniversary--a gift for both of us really. We have been getting into meditation and I was looking for a musical addition to our zen/plant sanctuary. This has been an awsome incorporation and we are having fun learning to use it and listen to each others creations. Although we aren't 'musically inclined' per say, when we play this, it doesn't feel awkward or isn't difficult to use. Satisfied with my purchase.

My son is a musician, specifically a percussionist and he loves all kinds of drums. I got this as a gift for him. It is made of sturdy metal and pretty heavy. It has a beautiful tone when played. It comes with two nice percussion mallets. This beautiful instrument is well worth its price.

I have been wanting one of these for a while and finally took the plunge. This things is excellent for my anxiety. The tones are soothing and I’m able to pluck out songs I know. I sat and played this for an hour surrounded by it’s packaging I was so excited.

This drum has an amazing sound, not too high pitched at all. Has a beautiful sound to it and easy to play with your hands. Comes with two mallets but I prefer to use my hands with this as it’s simple. Well-made, and a great value for the money.

I was looking for a decent drum that was not too costly. I did a good amount of research, wanted one of the more expensive but not in the budget now. Luckily I am pleased with this one and I'm glad. One of the notes is a bit off, but I can live with that and plan to try to bend the tongue a bit to see if that helps. I'm happy with the purchase.

We had my mama over who is 80yrs old and some dementia. Talk about enjoyment. She played for about an hour. I have taken over to her assisted living place a few times and all the gals sit around playing on it. Does anyone play songs? No... But they enjoy the tones and just playing music. Totally love this drum...I was busy when it arrived but wanted to see how it sounded. I tried hands, finger picks and mallets and the next thing I knew an hour had gone by! Love this drum and the price is right. if you are wondering if steel or hang drums are for you, and worried about putting 1 K down, this is a perfect test. So glad I ordered.

I've got no musical background and as such, have to view this as more of a toy that makes pleasant sounds. You can play simple melodies with a little practice. We like it and so do the grandkids. We are hoping it might stimulate interest in music and perhaps more advanced handpans.
